Established in 1999, Bits of Freedom is a foundation with a permanent staff, a board and an advisory board. Every year, hundreds of volunteers contribute to our work. Thousands of donors, dozens of corporate supporters, funds and project subsidies fund our work. To safeguard our independence, we do not accept funding from governments or Big Tech.
